“Another Tear” Dominates as #1 Kindle Drama for Third Consecutive Week

Urban drama reveals gripping portraits of black family and love

WASHINGTON, DC—The eagerly awaited sequel to celebrated author Traci Bee’s first novel, “Two Tears in Bucket,” continues to generate a wave of excitement and praise from both critics and readers nearly three weeks after its initial release.

The sequel, “Another Tear,” picks up where the first novel left off, chronicling the lives Kevin Kennard and Simone Woodard, who have found happiness in a new marriage and newborn son, only to see dark forces from their past disrupt their lives.

“Traci Bee’s ‘Another Tear’ is the standard for a perfectly executed sequel,” said Monique D. Mensah, the award-winning author of “Smoke Screen.” “Just when you thought it couldn't get any better than ‘Two Tears in a Bucket,’ ‘Another Tear’ shows you just how wrong you can be!”

Felisha Bradshaw, author of “Eyes on the Pryze,” offered similar praise. “I just finished reading ‘Another Tear,’ the sequel to ‘Two Tears in a Bucket’ by Traci Bee, and she has done it again,” she said. “Another 5 star read! I was a fan from ‘Two Tears’ and now I am a complete admirer.”

In addition to receiving critical praise, “Another Tear” is proving to be a hot seller. The book remains in the same coveted spot it held nearly three weeks ago during its debut—the #1 Kindle Drama. At the same time, it ranks 24th among Kindle’s top 100 Literature and Fictional United States titles.

Traci Bee’s first book, “Two Tears in a Bucket,” was nominated as Written Magazine’s “Book of the Year” and won the 2010 “Book of the Year” award from the African American on the Move Book Club (AAMBC). The AAMBC also named Bee as 2011’s “Breakout Author of the Year.” The warm reception to her first novel helped to inspire Bee’s continuation of the story in “Another Tear.”

“I hadn’t planned to continue Kevin and Simone’s story, but I felt that there was so much more for these characters to say and experience,” Bee said. “Kevin and Simone’s happy ending came at a cost for some, and I couldn’t help but think about whether those characters would move on or if some would try to destroy this couple’s happiness. Their story really resonated with readers, and I wanted to use my passion for writing to continue on with these characters’ journeys.”

Bee will be reading and signing copies of her novel, “Another Tear,” in various locations throughout the United States. “Another Tear” is available for purchase at Amazon.com. To inquire about wholesale pricing and signings, please visit http://www.tracibee.com
